Back at Sea

Wednesday 13 July, 1739 Norwegian time, 238nm to go to Akureyri, 5.3 knots

Yesterday was a bit of a sleep-in for the climbers, while Luke, Boogie and I
got the boat ready for sea.
And around lunch time, we set off once more, leaving the shores of the wild
and rugged Jan Mayen, with some wonderful and very hospitable people.
We're all happy and a touch sad to leave it behind...

It's Wednesday now and our second meal at sea is about to be served. This
morning it has slowly started to warm up a bit, going from a freezing 0
degrees Celsius to the much warmer 2 degrees!
This afternoon, we were looking at 3, going on 4 degrees! Yippee!

We sure need it, as our last watch last night (03-06am) was terribly cold
and terribly wet because of a thick fog hanging around us. Not very happy
watch conditions, no matter how many layers of clothing or hot drinks you
throw at it.
Hopefully, if Polar Bear's Bertha keeps on being nice, we might just make
Iceland tomorrow some time...keep your fingers crossed!
