After a great sailing trip south via Camaret (France), Bayona (Spain) and Cascais (Portugal), Star Chaser arrived early November in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to prepare for the ARC 2008.
This is Star Chaser’s 2nd participation in the ARC, but her skipper Boogie has a few more ARCs and Transatlantic crossings under his belt and is happy to be out there with his crew enjoying some great sailing. This despite that conditions are very variable this year, as a series of low pressure systems mid-Atlantic have interfered with the seasonal trade winds. The crew is having a great time, and jokes and laughter are the theme on the boat at the moment, with the crew vying for best speed (currently held by Barry with a good 15 knots!)
